A. N. Ananth, CEO
As the co-founder and CEO of EventTracker, Ananth was one of the architects of the EventTracker SIEM solution. With an extensive background in product development and operations for telecom network management, he has consulted for many companies on their compliance strategy, audit policy and automated reporting processes.
Ananth is a leading expert in IT compliance with over 25 years of experience in IT control and operations, and speaks frequently on these topics. He has been involved in product development for various companies including Ciena, Westinghouse Wireless, and Equatorial Communications.
Ananth holds an MSEE from the University of Texas and remains active in strategic product direction at EventTracker.
Kevin Watson, Board Member
Kevin joined the Netsurion, EventTracker’s parent company, in November 2014, and became part of EventTracker in October 2016. He brings considerable experience in data security, managed technology services and high-growth technology companies.
From 2003 through 2007, Kevin was Chairman and CEO of Verid, a SaaS-based application that provides remote identity verification services to financial institutions. Kevin led the company’s sale to RSA, the security division of EMC.
From 1998 through 2014, Kevin was the co-founder and managing director of C/max Capital. While at C/max Capital, Kevin led the firm’s investments in About.com (taken public then sold to Primedia), Adjoined Consulting (sold to Kanbay), Verid (sold to EMC), Concordia (sold to Kadmon), and KMC Software. Kevin helped co-found KMC Software, a SaaS-based recruiting tool, in 2009, and led the company’s product launch in 2011. Kevin also served as the acting-CFO of About.com, leading the company’s $86 million initial public offering and helped About.com form its business-to-business unit as the CEO of About Industry.
Prior to C/max, Kevin worked as an investment banker in the technology groups of Dean Witter Reynolds and UBS Securities in New York.
Kevin received a Bachelor of Science in engineering from Cornell University.
Matthew Stone, Board Member
Matt Stone is a vice president on the Providence Strategic Growth team and is based in our Providence office.
Previously, Mr. Stone was a vice president with Monitor Clipper Partners, a Boston-based growth equity firm, where he focused on investments in the technology-enabled services, consumer and healthcare services sectors. Previously, he was an associate at Metalmark Capital, a New York-based private equity firm. Before Metalmark, he was an investment banking analyst at Merrill Lynch’s New York office working in the Telecommunications and Media Group.
Mr. Stone received a Bachelor of Science in Commerce from the University of Virginia.
Mark Cornwell, Chief Information Officer
Mark joined the company in 2016, and brings more than 20 years of progressive cross-industry IT leadership to the role. He oversees engineers at Netsurion, EventTracker’s parent company, who build, manage, and monitor the company’s internal systems and technology. He most recently served as CTO of Swiss Watch International, following management roles at AOL, Chico’s FAS, Winn-Dixie, and Luxottica Retail. Throughout his corporate IT career, he has led significant business and technology transformation projects, including multi-year enterprise resource planning programs (SAP, Oracle, NSB) and e-commerce platform initiatives (IBM WCS, ATG, Magento). He has also directed large-scale POS implementations, business intelligence installations, and infrastructure migration programs.
After honorably serving his country for 20+ years, Mark retired from the military in 2016. His military career spanned 5 years in the Air Force as a Chinese Linguist Cryptographer; and included over 16 additional years in the Coast Guard Reserve as a Commissioned Officer from which he retired with the rank of Lieutenant Commander (LCDR/O4).
Mark received a Bachelor of Science from Excelsior College in 1998; completed Reserve Officer Candidate Indoctrination at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy; and graduated from the Defense Language Institute, Foreign Language Center (DLIFLC) with an Intermediate Certification in Mandarin Chinese.
John Christly, Chief Information Security Officer
John joined the company in October 2016, bringing many years of experience in technical and cybersecurity related operational, project, and program management. Having served clients both domestically and internationally, John leads cybersecurity and compliance efforts which provide support to both in-house corporate teams, as well as customers and partners.
John is an MSI Senior Fellow™ and holds various certifications including the ISC2 CISSP, PMP, Certified Fraud Examiner, AccessData Certified Examiner, HIPAA Security Specialist, Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, Certified Kaizen Facilitator, Certified Anti-Terrorism Specialist, and is a Licensed Private Investigator. His experience includes several industry regulations including HIPAA, HITECH, GLBA, FERPA, FCPA, FIPA, and PCI DSS.
John formerly served as the CISO and HIPAA Security Officer for Nova Southeastern University in Florida. He was also the co-founder and CEO for OMC Systems, a Florida-based cybersecurity advisory firm. He also served as the HIPAA Security Officer for Memorial Healthcare System, a multi-hospital public healthcare system. As Chief of Security, he also created and led the computer forensics division for eTERA Consulting, a firm located in Washington, D.C. that served AMLAW 100 clients.
As an accomplished author and blogger, his articles have appeared in publications such as Security Magazine, Executive Insight Magazine, 24/7 Magazine, and the ISSA Journal. He is frequently quoted in industry news sources, and is often a keynote and panel speaker at international, national, and regional events.
Jagat Shah, Chief Technology Officer
Jagat is a co-founder of EventTracker and provides technology direction for the company. He conceived and authored the original implementation of the Change Management component of the EventTracker software – a component that allows users to monitor, analyze and recover from changes within the network. He is an expert in the area of security event correlation and best practices for SIEM. With an IT career spanning more than 25 years, Jagat has experienced all aspects of the product life cycle, from development to operations.
Previous positions include Digital Equipment Corporation and Boeing where he led a team to define security models for Windows, Database and Unix in large and medium enterprises.
Jagat holds an MS in Computer Science from Boston University.
Mark Bartig, Chief Revenue Officer
Mark joined Netsurion, EventTracker’s parent company, in 2015, and became part of EventTracker in October 2016. He brings significant experience leading national and global sales organizations in data security, backup, cloud hosting, and datacenter outsourcing. From 2001 to 2011, Mark worked at Symantec Corporation, where he was responsible for leading all aspects of the SMB and mid-market business units in North America. At Symantec, Mark was a member of the strategic leadership council, an internal strategy think tank, as well as responsible for driving over $400,000,000 in annual revenue through both direct sales, as well as indirect channel partnerships. In 2012, Mark joined a global hosting company, Connectria Hosting, where he led global sales and was responsible for driving significant growth in sales and revenue during his tenure.
Mark received a Bachelor of Science in accountancy, computer science from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1990.
Aaron Branson, Vice President of Marketing
Aaron Branson joined Netsurion, EventTracker’s parent company, in 2014, and became part of EventTracker in October 2016. He brings substantial knowledge in digital marketing strategy and a wide-range of experience implementing marketing automation programs and customer experience management (CXM) platforms. From 2003 to 2015, Aaron served as Chief Marketing Officer of Roundedcube, a digital marketing technology agency, where he was a linchpin in all facets of the company’s operations, primarily business development, marketing, and digital marketing consulting services. Over the years, Aaron has consulted an extensive list of organizations on digital marketing strategies, including SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment, Hillshire Brands, and Feeding America to name a few. He provides thought leadership via his blog, and by presenting in-person and via webinars on various digital marketing topics.
Aaron has a Bachelor degree in advertising and marketing communications from Webster University.
