My Role:
I report to a director or senior manager of IT. I support hardware and software applications in my organization. I design, manage, and administer systems, including servers, applications and databases. My activities include implementation, configuration, documentation, coordination, control, maintenance, troubleshooting, security, usage monitoring and the development of specialized procedures for systems to ensure the smooth operation of all systems.
My Need:
I need a solution that will allow me to prioritize the incidents within my organization’s infrastructure to know which ones are the most critical. My responsibilities include managing servers, routers and network devices, workstations, and applications. I provide support to a group within the organization, or specific devices. I need to know the status of each of these devices, and be able to quickly pinpoint any problems so I can fix them. And if a problem is discovered, a powerful search capability allows you to perform the forensics required to see who did something, when, and how it was done.
