Senior Pre-Sales Engineer (Technical)


  • US (prefer Columbia MD, St. Louis MO, Ft Lauderdale FL

Key Objectives

  • Successful pre-sales evaluations and demonstrations for prospective new customers
  • Installation and proper functioning of EventTracker software advanced configurations
  • Demonstration of subject matter expertise, credibility and solutions


  • Remote and on-site customer engagement. Some travel.
  • Understand the SIEM/Cyber Security industry, technology, competitors, sales drivers
  • Understand EventTracker software, services and how to demonstrate and evaluate
  • Understand customer objectives and current IT environment
  • Gather success criteria for evaluations/demonstrations
  • Software installation and advanced configuration management
  • Trouble shooting, custom configurations of advanced EventTracker features
  • Remotely support Team Viewer and EventTracker software, VPN access, GoToMeeting and Skype
  • Assist customer technical staff in deploying EventTracker Agents/Sensors and configuring servers and network devices to forward logs to EventTracker server
  • Follow-up of open items via phone, email and remote access
  • Maintenance of “Sugar” Customer Relationship Management system – data accuracy/timeliness
  • Demographics, call/meeting notes, emails, issues and details for all customers

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 8+ years experience in implementing and managing cyber security platform products, SIEM
  • Ability to track and manage 20+ concurrent customer engagements with competing priorities
  • Technical acumen and demonstrable technical skills
    • Windows 2008/2012 Server+, Windows 7+, MS Office, Firewalls, Linux
    • Cyber security concepts, best practices
    • Security analytics, forensics
    • Logs and log management, Windows EVTX, syslog, W3C, Exchange
    • PCI-DSS, HIPAA, Banking and Government compliance frameworks
    • Broad and deep understanding of common security tools and concepts
      • Anti-Virus, (SNORT) IDS/IPS, UTM, Endpoint Threat Protection
      • Network packet analysis, Firewalls
      • Vulnerability Analysis, Patch Management, IT Governance
  • Business professional communications and language skills
  • Organization skills, follow-up, superior customer service attitude
